Ch. Klaus of Trout Creek (Ch. Painted Mtn Captain Fantastic X Ch. Trout Creek's Black Star) Klaus finished his AKC Championship out of Bred-by at fourteen month going Best of Winners at the 2006 Rocky Mountain Specialty. After taking a year off to grow up, Klaus went back out as a Special late last summer 2007. He was awarded multiple Best of Breed wins and a Group 2. With very limited showing in 2007, Klaus was ranked #7 Breed and #8 All Breed.
Klaus continued his winning ways in 2008, earning numerous group placements, including a coveted Group 1 at the Chintimini Kennel Club Show in March. Klaus ended 2008 as the #2 Greater Swiss Mountain Dog in Breed and All Breed points.

Through May 31, 2009 Klaus is ranked #1 Greater Swiss Mountain Dog All Breed and #3 Breed. Klaus won the GSMDCA's National Specialty Top Twenty competition as well as being voted the Top Twenty Peoples' Choice in May 2009. He went on to earn a Group placement the day following the National Specialty at the Utah Valley KC Show. |
