DECEMBER 2016: AKC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Nash along side of Luke and Rowan finished the year off with a bang on a memorable trip to Orlando, FL. Nash went Best of Breed at the three all-breed pre-shows to the AKC National Championship and also picked a very nice Best of Breed win at the Central Florida Working Dog Specialty. Thanks to all his cheerleaders and supporters, he seems to have gathered quite the fan club.
DECEMBER 2016: GREATER CLARK COUNTY KENNEL CLUB
Last local show of the year! Nash goest Best of Breed on Sunday (12/11) at the Greater Clark County Kennel Club and Select Dog Sunday. As always, thank you to Luke & Rowan Baggenstos for their expert handling - pictured in the photo is their little girl Teagan. Maudie also picked up a 5pt major going Winners Bitch on Sunday!
GREATER SWISS MTN. DOG NATIONAL SPECIALTY
Wow, Nash had quite the cross-country trip covering 14 states in the last two weeks. First stop was Arapahoe Kennel Club in Aurora, CO where he went Select Dog both days to a nice entry of male specials - Big thank you to Heather Johnson for showing Nash, I'm sure he loved seeing you again (this was the same show a year ago where he earned his first points ever with her for a 5pt major) Next up with the premiere event, the GSMDCA National Specialty in St. Charles, IL - Nash was shown by Martin Glover and they looked fantastic! So proud of the Nash for earning an Award of Merit at the National Specialty! He's still such a young dog so this was quite a win in a ring of very competitive swissies - Thank you Marty for working your magic with him! In the final push home, Nash showed at the Rockford-Freeport show supported entry by the Lake Shore GSMD Club with Holley Eldred where he went Select Dog on Saturday to a big entry of male specials and then went on to very nice Best of Breed win Sunday.

AUGUST 2016: NASH - BRONZE GRAND CHAMPIONNash, along side of Luke & Rowan, has now earned his AKC Bronze Grand Championship. So proud of his team! Nash just earned his AKC championship in late January, his AKC grand championship in late March and has now added this new designation. Looking forward to next month at the GSMDCA National Specialty in St. Charles, IL

JULY 2016: CENTRAL WYOMING KENNEL CLUBNash and Soleil went on a big trip to Wyoming with friends Allison, Shannon, and Colby - they looked to have had a great time visiting sites along the way, getting pets from people, and taking full advantage of the hotel room! The trip was quite the success, Nash went Best of Breed on Friday picking up 18 breed points and Soleil won her class (open bitch) all three days - she went winners bitch on Saturday & Sunday for two 5pt majors and also to finish her championship! Thank you to Luke and Rowan Baggenstos for their wonderful handling and to Allison & Shannon for their great care of Soleil and Nash!

Nash and Odyssey took a road trip to Redmond, OR for the Mt. Bachelor Kennel Club Show. A big thank you to Noel Nelson for hosting everyone at her beautiful ranch! The dogs had success in the ring and most of all had a blast romping around. As always, thank you to Luke Baggenstos for his work with Nash (and to Lauren House & Ed Thomason for covering him in group), to Noel Nelson & Angela Merfeld for showing Odyssey and to Len & Teri Bariquit for being the best cheerleaders for Porter and getting him to the show.

Great weekend for the Trout Creek kids at the Chinitmini Kennel Club Show!
- Greatel - Ch. Trout Creek's Greatel Aurora earned her AKC championship on 4/2 going Winners Bitch for a 4pt major. Thank you to Greatel's owners for their dedication and big thank you to Luke and Rowan Baggenstos for putting her points on her so quickly!
- Porter - Trout Creek's Big, Stout & Hoppy picked up back-to-back 4pt majors going Best of Winners/Winners Dog and is well on his way to championship! Big thanks to owners for being his biggest cheerleaders and for setting him up for success and to Dinah Baggenstos for expert handling!
- Nash - GCh. Trout Creek's Written Onna Star CGC, RN, JHD, HTADIs went Best of Opposite Sex for a 5pt GCH major on Saturday against a nice lineup of specials and class dogs. Very happy with his success so far this year with Luke & Rowan Baggenstos!

Littermates Nash and Greatel from the Astrology Litter had a great weekend in Bremerton! Nash went Select Dog on Saturday and followed it up going Best of Breed on Sunday and also earning his Grand Championship! Greatel also picked up three more points towards her championship...she's so close! Thank you to Rowan & Luke Baggenstos for their expertise handling both of them.
MARCH 2016: BRIGAND'S HIDEOUT HERDING TRIAL
Nash did great at the recent AHBA trial in Battle Ground, WA - he got the 2nd leg needed to earn Herding Trial Arena Dog (HTAD1s) title! MARCH 2016: SEATTLE KENNEL CLUB
3/12/16: Trout Creek kids had great time Saturday at the Seattle Kennel Club - Nash went Best of Breed, Porter had his show debut and went reserve to the major and Sierra qualified in rally and made a wonderful ambassador to the breed at the breed booth.
3/13/16: Porter went Best of Winners/Best Opposite Sex/Winners Dog/Best of Breed Owner Handled for his first point - good job to his co-owner Teri on taking the lead in the ring! Greatel also picked up another single point going Winners Bitch being shown by Rowan Baggenstos. Good job to these young dogs.

FEBRUARY 2016: SHEA BECOMES THERAPY DOG!
Have to give a big brag for Shea (Captain x Razz) and Ginni -- at 10.5 years of age Shea earned her AKC Therapy Dog title. So proud of them both and Shea sure hit the jackpot with her retirement home! Shea is still one of the sweetest swissies I have known so I can't think of a better dog for this job.
FEBRUARY 2016: COVERED BRIDGE CLUSTER - ALBANY, OR
Nash & Greatel (both Timber x Onna kids), surpassed expectations at the recent Covered Bridge Cluster. Nash is well on his way to earning his Grand Championship and this was Greatel's first show and she picked up 8 points! Big THANK YOU to Luke & Rowan Baggenstos for doing such a great job with them both.

Nash had a great weekend at the AHBA herding trial -- he earned his Junior Herd Dog (JHD) title on Saturday. On Sunday, he was moved up to the Herding Trial Arena Dog (HTAD) course and he did a good job with Dave earning 1st place (out of 3) and qualifying score towards the title. Ch. FEBRUARY 2016: NASH GOES SLEDDING
Nash had is first opportunity to go sledding with his friends Jarno, Gypsy & Cutter and he had a great time, he's turning into quite the well-rounded young dog!
JANUARY 2016: PORTLAND ROSE CITY CLUSTER
Odyssey and Nash were entered Saturday & Sunday of the Portland Rose City Cluster -- we had big numbers for the Pacific Northwest with 20 GSMDs entered on Saturday & 19 on Sunday. Both of these young dogs showed like superstars and I couldn't be more pleased.
- Sunday (1/24): Odyssey went Best of Winners for a 5pt major putting her at 14 pts now & Nash went Select Dog his first weekend out as a special defeating four male specials.
- Saturday (1/23): Odyssey was Reserve Winners Bitch to the 5pt major & Tucker's daughter Katie (Tucker x Echo) went Winners Bitch to earn her championship!

Nash had his first herding lesson today in preparation for an upcoming herding trial. Nash will be entered in the Junior Herd Dog class hoping to earn to passing legs to get his JHD title.
